  • It depends on the event! Some of our events are completely free and open to the public, while others require a ticket or RSVP.

    Each event listing will clearly explain what’s required.

  • Our events take place at Austen’s Shelf in Bordentown City, NJ, as well as at local cafés, breweries, fitness studios, and other special venues. Be sure to check the individual event listing for the exact location

  • For most author events, the featured book is included with your ticket! Because of this, we ask that the event book be purchased through Austen’s Shelf. Depending on the author, guests may also bring 1–2 backlist or other titles by the author from home to be signed. Please review the individual event details for any author-specific signing guidelines.

  • Our cancellation and refund policies vary by event. Please check the ticket information for the specific event you're attending.

  • If an event reaches capacity, we'll usually open a waitlist when possible. Follow us on social media or check the event page for updates

  • Many of our events are family-friendly, but some are intended for adults or have age restrictions. The individual event listing will let you know who the event is best suited for.
